"Target shooting, attending/participating in motorsport events, loud music, weekend barbeques, carpentry, metallurgy, and all sorts of fabrication."

What do you think about receiving the Employee Recognition Award?
"I am still amazed that I was even considered to be recognized. The previous places I have worked have never placed me in a position to be rewarded for any of my achievements, much less reward me for my personality and character at work."

What do you like best about working for Porsche of San Antonio?
"I like the people around me. I consider all the men and women at this facility to be my friends. Everyone is incredibly sweet to interact with, even on days where I do not feel excited that I ventured beyond my bed, someone is always here to extend a kind smile or some colorful humor to move me into a comfortable sense of happiness to be at work with my friends. Considering we are together each day more hours than we are with our families, I am pleased with the group and happy to be here."

Where did you work before Porsche of San Antonio?
"I worked for a company called Collision One. They do auto body repair and collision repair."

What job did you specifically do for Collision One?
"I prepped and painted all different types of vehicles."

Where are you from originally?
"I am from San Antonio."

What do you like most about working for Porsche of San Antonio?
"I really like working for such a large company. I also enjoy interacting and helping the people I work with on a daily basis."

What do you like to do outside of work?
"I really like spending time with my family the most. Along with that, I really like watching basketball and playing a little when I have the time."

"I was so surprised and very happy to be recognized for what I do."

How did you become interested in Porsche of San Antonio?
"I was working as a tech at the Volvo Center and loved Porsche. When the opportunity became available I transferred over to Porsche."

What do you like be about working for Porsche of San Antonio?
"Porsche of San Antonio is like a family. From other employees to the customers, the family atmosphere makes coming to work enjoyable."

When you're not at work, what do you like to do with your spare time?
"I enjoy spending my spare time with my kids at our family ranch."

How did you become interested in Porsche of San Antonio?
"Well, I have always had a love for cars, especially fast ones. I got a phone call from a fellow co-worker who said there was a concierge position open and that I should come in and fill out an application to see if I qualify for the position. I didn't want to pass on a great opportunity so I drove as fast as I could to fill out the application."

Where are you from?
"I was born here in San Antonio, Texas. I moved to Kansas when I was in the 6th grade. As soon as I graduated high school, I moved back to San Antonio and attended UTSA."

What do you like be about working for Porsche of San Antonio?
"I enjoy working with my amazing co-workers and helping our customers in any way I can."

When you're not at work, what do you like to do with your spare time?
"I spend my spare time watching the Dallas Cowboys, hunting, fishing, and camping."

"I was recruited by another employee."

"I was and still am a caregiver in Home Health."

How did you become interested in Porsche of San Antonio?
"I worked in the past for a Collision Center and thought my skill set would be a good fit."

"I was born and raised in San Antonio and graduated from Thomas Edison High School."

After working here for the last 11 months, what do you like best about Porsche of San Antonio?
"The people from my co-workers to the customers make it a fun place to work."

When your not at work, what do you like to do with your spare time?
"I love spending time with my kids. We enjoy going to the movies and the park."

What do you think about being voted Employee of the Month?
"It is awesome! For the short time I have been here it is nice to know that my performance is noticed."





Matt Hokenson - Sales and Leasing Specialist

Where did you work before you came to Porsche of San Antonio?
"Bryn Mawr Conference & Retreat Center in Honesdale, PA"

And what was your job responsibility there?
"Team Facilitator during the fall & spring teaching team building and leadership skills. During the summer, I worked as the Director for their Lacrosse program."

So, how did you become interested in Porsche of San Antonio as a place to work?
"I was home for a 6 week vacation looking for a temporary job. I applied everywhere but Porsche of San Antonio was the only company to hire me as a Porter. I was blessed and offered a job in sales thereafter and it has been great ever since that time."

Where are you from?
"I was born and raised here in San Antonio and graduated from Robert E Lee High School."

What do you do in your free time?
"Tennis & Golf are sports I love to play. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends."

So why the car business?
"Porsche of San Antonio has provided so many opportunities, any other job just wouldn't do. I like to keep on my toes and the car business and Porsche of San Antonio do just that."

After being here 3.5 years, what do you like best about Porsche of San Antonio?
"I enjoy getting to meet each person that walks through our doors. Each day I come to work and I never know who I will meet. I have met and worked with a lot of great people and made some good friends along the way."

"I was honored! It was a surprise to be in sales and be thought of as Employee of the Month."
