PANAMERA HYBRID S

The electric motor can drive the car by itself for short distances at moderate acceleration and speeds up to 52 mph. So you can drive through residential areas, for example, without any emissions and making almost no noise. The combustion engine is automatically decoupled via the separating clutch and switched off.

Pressing the 'E-Power' button expands the range in which the vehicle can run solely on electric power. Here, the accelerator pedal characteristics are adapted so that the combustion engine switches on later than in normal mode, depending on power demand. This makes all-electric driving easier and more comfortable. The availability of all-electric mode depends on factors such as battery charge status and temperature.

In addition, the electric motor can assist the combustion engine to provide more thrust. This so-called 'E-Boost' function ensures sportier acceleration and improved flexibility.

With the integral Auto start/stop function, if you have to stop in traffic, the combustion engine is automatically switched off. It starts again only when you accelerate and the power available from the electric motor alone is not sufficient. This saves fuel.

A further energy saving can be made by coasting during driving. That means running without the combustion engine in operation, it switches off automatically. You can see this from the rev counter, which will be on READY and not displaying any revs. Through this, the hybrid shows its advantages away from city traffic.

Systems which are normally dependent on the drive power of the combustion engine, such as climate control, power steering and braking, are powered electrically in the Panamera S Hybrid and therefore remain available even when the car is being driven using solely electric power or when it is coasting with the combustion engine switched off. CAYENNE HYBRID S

The concept behind every car we build is based around the pursuit of performance. This has been the case since 1948. Another of our traditional core values is efficiency. At Porsche, we are continually striving to find a successful balance between the two.

This is achieved using advanced engine concepts featuring technologies such as DFI, VarioCam Plus, the auto start/stop function, the parallel full hybrid drive and consistent lightweight construction.

Weight reduction is a key aspect of our design philosophy derived from our rich racing heritage. Part of our R&D Center, the Motorsport Department is located in Weissach where it shares premises with the Automotive Industry Exhaust Emission Centre (ADA). Just a coincidence? We call it
symbiosis.

In practice: the Cayenne is up to 185 kg lighter, depending on the model.* We have achieved this through the use of new, innovative weight-saving materials, the development of new production technologies and functionality, and a series of concept modifications. This has enabled us to halve the weight of the tailgate, for example. Innovative materials are also a feature of the axle construction, with steel being replaced where possible by lightweight alternatives such as aluminum and plastic. The Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid is available in San Antonio, give us a call for more information.

The benefits for the driver: greater agility and driving dynamics? with lower fuel consumption. Efficiency at its best.

PANAMERA S E-HYBRID

The Panamera S E-Hybrid is Porsche's new plug-in hybrid. It can exploit power from both the combustion engine and electric machine or both separately. The new high-voltage battery has a quick recharge time - around 2.5 hours - using a connection to a 240V socket.

It also has all you would expect as far as performance of a Porsche. The 3.0L supercharged V6 engine outputs 333 hp and the electric machine adds 95 hp. With the two powertrains combined, the Panamera S E-Hybrid is capable of 416 horses of power.

To summarize, the E-Hybrid is the ultimate in sporty performance and fuel-efficiency.

Porsche Cayenne Diesel

CHARACTER

Boasting outstanding performance and efficiency, the Porsche Cayenne Diesel is ideal for longer journeys - offering high levels of torque, while fuel consumption remains low. This Cayenne Diesel if perfect for your long rides on Texas roads.

Its 3.0-liter V6 turbo-diesel engine is now more powerful. The unit generates 240 hp and maximum torque of 406 lb.-ft.. The sprint to 60 mph requires just 7.2 seconds. Top track speed is 135 mph.

Direct fuel injection comes courtesy of a common-rail injection system. The piezoelectric injectors enable multiple injections at a pressure of up to 29,007 psi, ensuring optimum distribution of the air/fuel mixture -for improved dynamics.

The turbocharger on the Cayenne Diesel features Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG). Combined with optimized channeling of the intake air, it enhances the forced induction effect, thereby generating a higher output and impressive torque, even at low engine speeds.

The standard eight-speed Tiptronic S includes gearshift controls on the steering wheel. Transmitting the high torque of the Cayenne Diesel smoothly and effectively, the eight gears are designed to facilitate both economical driving with low fuel consumption and performance driving with emphatic acceleration.

Porsche Traction Management (PTM) permanent all-wheel drive with self-locking center differential transmits the car's power to all four wheels with optimum precision and control.

The Cayenne Diesel: proof that a 100-feet sprinter can also run a marathon.

PERFORMANCE

The Cayenne Diesel is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 turbo-diesel engine with a common-rail injection system. Its turbocharger features Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG). The incoming exhaust gases drive a set of electronically variable turbine blades whose angle is continuously adjusted to ensure optimum performance under all engine loads. This results in an output of 240 hp and maximum torque of 406 lb.-ft..

The car accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 7.2 seconds. Maximum torque is available between 1,750 and 2,750 rpm. Top track speed is 135 mph, while fuel consumption has been lowered.*
